Only 5 minutes way from the Quinta runs the Rio Zêzere, with its rocky cliffs, this river is one of the most amazing rivers for canoeing. As the river is actually turned into a gigantic reservoir, its waters are very quiet and crystal clear, and perfect for swimming! Below are some images of what you can expect. There are beautiful spots for swimming, snorkeling and quiet spots for a amazing picnic on the rocks! Don’t forget to bring a bottle of Vinho Verde and chill it in one of the waterfalls that runs directly from the mountains 😉

Best is to enter the river at “Moinhos das Freiras”.
Canoes can be rented at “Trilhos do Zêzere”, an outdoor activity company located in Pedrogão Pequeno.
